In plain words

This lotus runs very deep; its petals reach the lowest places, and it is joined to the whole universe.

Guided by the teaching, I need not enter the womb again; I've put down the poison and drink the sweet nectar.

The awakened heart is a single vast bloom connecting the whole cosmos — the tiny body-village opens into everything.
The deeper layer

The Ashtapadee closes on the lotus as a figure for reality or the awakened heart — "very deep," its reach spanning from the nether regions to "the whole universe," everything connected in one flower. The freed one, "under Guru's Instruction," is done with the cycle of "the womb," having "renounced the poison of corruption" for "the Ambrosial Nectar." The whole shabad's journey — from thieves in the village to nectar in the heart — completes in a single vast, connected bloom. The small body-village opens into the entire cosmos.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever felt your small, ordinary self quietly connected to something vast?
