The minstrel cries out, and the One hears.
Comforted inside, he finds the Perfect One. Whatever was written, that is what he does; and when the Master turns kind, he comes home to the One's very presence. My One is so vast — and facing the teaching, I have met it.
The fifth Pauree introduces the minstrel — the humble singer at the One's door, a figure the Vaar will return to. He simply "cries out, and God hears him." The relationship is disarmingly direct: no elaborate ritual, just a cry and a hearing. And the reward is intimacy — "the Mansion of the Lord's Presence as his home." The vast One answers the small singer's cry.
When you've simply cried out, honestly, has something answered? What did that feel like?
