In plain words

Sing the praise of the spotless One, held within everything.

The cause behind all causes, the mighty One; whatever it wills comes to pass.

In an instant it builds up and takes down; there is no other but it.

It fills the continents, the star-systems, the underworlds, the islands, every world.

Only the one the One teaches understands — that one alone becomes pure and unstained.

The One builds up and takes down whole worlds in an instant and fills every corner of everything — and understanding even a little of it isn't something you figure out; it's given to you.
The deeper layer

The first Pauree climbs through the One's vastness: it is "the Cause of causes," it "establishes and disestablishes in an instant" (the same world-making, world-unmaking power as Devgandhaari Shabad 13), it fills every world there is. And then the humbling final rung: only "the one the Lord Himself instructs" understands any of this. You do not reason your way to the One; you are taught it, from within, by grace. The vast cosmic sweep lands on a note of humility — comprehension itself is a gift, not an achievement.

A Question to Sit With

Can you truly figure out something infinite by thinking harder, or does real understanding sometimes have to be given?
