In plain words

My hopes rest on you, One of the universe; please fulfill them.

Meeting the One, I will never grieve again.

Grant me the sight of you, my heart's desire, and my worries will be over.

My body is made sacred by the dust of your feet.

Supreme One, true teacher, you are always with me, ever-present.

The whole prayer rests on the One: 'meeting you, I'll never grieve again' — not because hard things stop, but because a joy underneath them can't be reached. And the tenderest promise of all: 'you are always with me, ever-present.' Never once absent.
The deeper layer

The Pauree is a prayer resting entirely on the One: "my hopes rest in You... fulfill them." And the deep promise it reaches for: "meeting the Lord, I shall never grieve." Not that hard things stop happening, but that the one who has truly met the One has a joy beneath the griefs that they cannot finally reach (the sahaj steadiness). The Pauree ends on the Vaar's tenderest assurance: "You are always with me, ever-present" (sadaa sadaa hajoor). This is the answer to every fear the earlier Paurees named — the dream, the fraud, the wilderness, the fear of death: through all of it, the One is always here, always present. Never once absent.

A Question to Sit With

How would it feel to know that whatever happens, something good and kind is always present with you, never once absent?
