In plain words

I serve the One, I contemplate the One, and to the One I offer my prayer.

Nanak has gathered the wealth, the merchandise of the Name; this is the true capital.

The whole scattered life gathered into one stream — serve the One, think on the One, pray to the One. And the one true wealth, the sound investment that never fails, has been gathered: the Name.
The deeper layer

The seeker's whole life narrowed to one focus: "I serve the One, I contemplate the One, I pray to the One." All the scattered energies gathered into a single stream. And the merchant-image of the raag returns one last time: the Name is "the true capital" (sach poonjee) — the real starting-wealth, the sound investment, the one holding that will not fail. Against all the false wealth the Vaar ruled out (power, beauty, riches, the bitter melon), here is the one true capital, gathered and secure. The life poured into one stream has gathered the one wealth worth having.

A Question to Sit With

What would it be like to gather all your scattered energy toward one good thing? What 'true wealth' would you want to gather?
