Meeting with the Lord's Saints, the Beloveds of the mind, I would cut out my heart, and offer it to them.
ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲੇ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਮ ਕੀਏ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਵੇਨ ॥੨॥

Meeting with the Lord's Saints, I meet with the Lord; this sinner has been sanctified. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When I meet the One's saints, so dear to my mind, I would give them my very heart.

Meeting the One's saints, I meet the One. I had gone wrong, and I have been made pure.

The people who point you toward the One are worth your whole open heart.
The deeper layer

Meeting the people who love the One, you meet the One, and you are made clean.

Kat dayva-o hee-araa tayn means "I would cut out my heart and give it to them." It is the old language of love that holds nothing back, giving everything you are.

Har kay sant milay har mili-aa means "meeting the One's saints, I meet the One." The One shines through the people who love the One. Ham kee-ay patit pavayn means "I, who had fallen, have been made pure."

A Question to Sit With

Who is someone you would share your whole heart with?
