Verse 3 of 4

Whatever Comes, I Accept

jo parabh keeno so bhal maani-o ayh sumat saaDhoo tay paa-ee. ||2||
Whatever God does, I accept that as good. This is the sublime wisdom I have obtained from the Holy. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whatever the One does, I accept as good. I found this clear wisdom from the holy people.

Trusting the flow of life is a wisdom that holy people teach.
The deeper layer

Whatever the One does, you can accept as good, and holy people teach you how.

The verse says jo parabh keeno so bhal maani-o: "whatever the One does, I take as good." Bhal means good. Maani-o means accepted, trusted.

This is like Mannai in Japji Sahib, which means trusting deeply, from the inside. It means trusting the flow of life instead of fighting every turn. Think of a surfer. They cannot control the wave, and they learn to ride it.

Then: sumat saaDhoo tay paa-ee, "this good sense came from the holy." Sumat means wise understanding. We learn trust by being near people who already live it.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you cannot control that you are learning to accept?
