Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Power, youth, and wealth do not satisfy. People run after them again and again.

Singing the praises of the One, I have found peace and calm, and all my thirst is quenched.

The chase for more never fills you; remembrance quiets the thirst.
The deeper layer

Chasing more never fills you up, and singing the One's praise quiets the thirst.

Nah tariptaano raaj joban Dhan: power, youth, and wealth never satisfy. Bahur bahur fir Dhaa-i-aa: people run after them again and again. It is like scrolling for one more video. There is always one more, and you never feel done.

Sukh paa-i-aa tarisnaa sabh bujhee: I found peace, and every thirst was quenched. That came through gun gaa-i-aa, singing the One's goodness. The endless chase finally meets its answer in remembering the One.

A Question to Sit With
