One's comings and goings in reincarnation cease, and suffering is dispelled, meditating in remembrance in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

patit puneet hohi khin bheetar paarbarahm kai rang. ||1||
Sinners are sanctified in an instant, in the love of the Supreme Lord God. ||1||

In plain words

Remembering the One in the Sangat, the coming and going of birth after birth stops, and the suffering is gone.

Even people who have done wrong are made pure in a single instant, in the love of the Supreme One.

No one is beyond a fresh start; love can make a person new in an instant.
The deeper layer

Remembering the One in the Sangat ends the weary coming and going, and the One's love makes even a wrongdoer new in an instant.

Aavat jaat rahay saram naasay: comings and goings cease, weariness ends. Patit puneet hohi khin bheetar: those who have fallen are made pure in an instant, in paarbarahm kai rang, the love of the Supreme One. Patit means fallen, someone who has done wrong. Love washes them clean, like rain rinsing dust off a window.

A Question to Sit With

When have you been given a fresh start?
