Nanak says: drink the sweet nectar with your tongue, and be dyed through and through with the love of the One.
Taste the sweetness of the Naam and let its color soak all the way through.
Taste the sweetness of the One, and let love color you all the way through.
Amritaa ras pee-o rasnaa: drink the nectar with your tongue. Har rang raat: dyed in the One's love. Amrit is the nectar that gives life that never ends, and rang is a fast dye of love that does not wash out. The shabad closes in sweetness and color, with Nanak's name in its last line.
