Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord with pleasure and joy, the sins will be erased and thrown away. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Singing the praises of the One with delight and joy, my wrongs are wiped out and driven far away.

Singing with a glad heart wipes old mistakes away.
The deeper layer

Singing with a glad heart wipes old wrongs away.

Aandaa gun gaa-ay mangal: singing the praises with bliss and joy. Kasmalaa mit jaahi parayrai: the stains are wiped out and pushed far away. Joy does the work here. Glad singing clears the heart, the way sunshine dries a wet street.
