Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Lord of the World is my kingdom, my riches and my family. The One is my everything.

Nanak says: in the Sangat, the company of the holy, I have earned the true profit, and I will never die again.

When the One becomes your everything, you are finally, fully at home.
The deeper layer

When the One is your everything, you earn what lasts, and the round of dying is over.

Raaj Dhan parvaar mayrai sarbaso gobind: Gobind, the Lord of the World, is my kingdom, wealth, family, everything. SaaDhsangam: the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Laabh paa-i-o: the profit is earned there. Fir na marand: never to die again, no more going round the circle of birth and death. Like a traveler who finally walks through the door of home, the journey is done.

A Question to Sit With

What does it mean to you to feel completely at home?
