In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

Worship the One, and love the Naam.

Hold on to the feet of the Guru, the True Guru.

The One beyond all measure will come into your mind, and by the Guru's grace you will win in this world.

Grace, not effort alone, is what lifts us above life's tangles.
The deeper layer

Worship the One, keep hold of the Guru, and the One beyond measure fills your mind.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. It comes right after ik-onkaar satgur parsaad: there is only One, found by the True Guru's grace. Parabh poojho naam araaDh: worship the One, adore the Naam. Gur satgur charnee laag: hold the feet of the Guru, the True Guru. Har paavhu man agaaDh: the fathomless One comes into the mind. Jag jeeto ho ho gur kirpaaDh: by the Guru's grace, you win the world. Winning here means your wants and fears stop pushing you around.

A Question to Sit With

What helps you rise above a problem instead of getting stuck in it?
