Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In what way can I come to see You, and be touched by Your presence?

The deepest questions begin with a longing to see what is real.
The deeper layer

Longing to see the One begins with a single question: how?

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Aisee ka-un biDhay: in what way? Darsan parsanaa: to see You and be touched by Your presence. Everything that follows grows out of this one question, the way a whole tree grows from a seed.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you long to understand or see clearly?
