Tired From The Long Journey, I Found Your Door

ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨਮ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਓ ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਦੁਆਰਿ ॥੧॥
kot janam jon bharmi-o haar pari-o du-aar. ||1||
I wandered through millions of lifetimes and incarnations. I am so very tired - I have fallen at God's Door. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I wandered through millions of lives, one birth after another. Worn out, I have fallen at the One's door.

Even the longest search can end in a place of rest.
The deeper layer

After a long, long search, you can rest at the One's door.

Kot janam jon bharmi-o: I wandered through millions of lifetimes. Haar pari-o du-aar: tired out, I fell at the door.

Think of a traveler who has walked all day and at last sits down on the doorstep of home.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you searched a long time for before finding?
