God, the Treasure of Virtue, has been revealed in this body-robe. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

By good fortune I have been brought into the Sangat, the gathering of the holy.

I do not wander off anywhere; I live in my own home.

The One, the treasure of all goodness, has shown Himself in this body, the robe I wear.

What you seek outside is often waiting quietly within you.
The deeper layer

Join the Sangat, stay at home inside yourself, and the treasure of goodness shows itself right there.

Sanjog milaa-ay saaDh sangaa-ay: by good fortune I was brought into the Sangat, people gathered together to remember the One. Kathoo na jaa-ay ghareh basaa-ay: I do not go wandering; I live in my own home, a calm place deep inside. Gun niDhaan pargati-o ih cholai: the treasure of goodness has appeared in this cholaa, this robe, the body.

It is like hunting all over the house for your glasses and finding them on your own head.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing have you discovered was inside you all along?
