In Love With Every Place He Fills

ਚਰਨ ਲੁਭਾਏ ਆਨ ਤਜਾਏ ॥
charan lubhaa-ay aan tajaa-ay.
I have fallen in love with His Feet; I have abandoned everything else.
ਥਾਨ ਥਨਾਏ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਏ ॥
thaan thanaa-ay sarab samaa-ay.
In the places and interspaces, He is All-pervading.

With loving joy and excitement, Nanak speaks His Praises. ||2||1||46||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

I have fallen in love with His feet, and I have left everything else behind.

In every place and every space between, He fills it all.

Nanak says: with joy and delight, I speak His praises.

When you love the One, you begin to see Him everywhere.
The deeper layer

Fall in love with the One, and you find the One filling every place.

Charan lubhaa-ay aan tajaa-ay: drawn in love to the One's feet, I leave everything else behind. Thaan thanaa-ay sarab samaa-ay: in every place and every space between, the One is there. Rasak rasak gun bolai: tasting the joy again and again, Nanak speaks the One's praises.

Think of how a favorite song can make the whole room feel different. Love for the One makes every place feel full.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you notice something wonderful when you pay close attention?
