In plain words

The Name of the One fills everything. Say it again and again: Raam, Raam.

The One lives in each and every heart; the One made this play, full of colors and shapes.

The One, Life of the world, lives close by — the Guru, my friend, made this plain to me.

The One, my Master, meets those whose love for the One was written from the very start.

Nanak says: I remember the Naam. Through the Guru's word, say it with your whole mind.

The One lives close by, the soul inside every soul.
The deeper layer

The One lives close by, inside every heart.

Raam naam ram rav rahay: the Name of Raam runs through everything, the way water runs through every part of a sponge. Ghat ghat aatam raam: the One is the soul inside each and every body. Khayl means play: the world as a game full of rang, colors.

Har nikat vasai: the One lives nearby. The gur meet, the Guru who is a friend, points this out, the way a friend says, "Look, your glasses are on your head."

A Question to Sit With

What feels far away that might be closer than you realized?
