O Nanak, one who is blessed with such pre-ordained destiny chants the Lord's Praises, night and day. ||1||

In plain words

Har, Har, Har, Har is the Naam of the One. Only a few find it, those who turn to face the Guru.

Then the ego and the grabbing "mine, mine" come to an end, and crooked thinking is washed out.

Nanak says: those who were written for this from the very start sing of the goodness of the One, day and night.

When the Name is found, the heart rinses clean and sings on its own.
The deeper layer

When the Naam is found, the grabbing "me" and "mine" fall away and the mind is washed clean.

A gurmukh is someone whose face is turned toward the Guru. Ha-umai is ego, the feeling of "me first." Mamtaa is the clutch of "mine, mine." Both come to an end together. Durmat kadhai dho-ay: crooked thinking is rinsed out, like mud washed from a shirt.

Dhur likhi-aa means "written from the start." For those people, singing of the One all day and night comes as easily as breathing.
