Shalok, Fourth Mehl:
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਿ ਸਜਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਇਆ ਰੰਗੁ ॥
gurmukh milay se sajnaa har parabh paa-i-aa rang.
Those Gurmukhs who meet as friends are blessed with the Lord God's Love.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿ ਤੂ ਲੁਡਿ ਲੁਡਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਵੰਞੁ ॥੧॥
jan naanak naam salaahi too lud lud dargahi vanj. ||1||
O servant Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; you shall go to His court in joyous high spirits. ||1||

Friends who turn toward the Guru and meet together are colored with the love of the One.
Nanak says: praise the Naam, and go to the court of the One skipping with joy.
Sing the Name and go home to the One with a skip in your step.
Praise the Naam with friends, and you go home to the One full of joy.
Rang is dye, the color of love soaking into the heart. Salaahi means praise. Lud lud: swinging and skipping along, the way children run home on the last day of school. Dargahi vanj: go to the court of the One.
