Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
You fill every place and every space between places, Maker; all of this is Your making.
You built the whole world in its endless colors and shades, in more ways and forms than anyone could count.
Your light shines inside every light; You set us on the path of the Guru's teaching.
Those You are kind to, You bring to the True Guru, and You help them understand through the Guru's Word.
Let everyone say it aloud: Raam, Raam, the great Raam! Saying it, all want, pain and hunger are carried away.
One Maker fills every place and every space between places, and shines as the light in every light.
Thaan thanantar bharpoor: filling every place and every gap between places, the way air fills a whole house. Rang parang: all the colors and shades of the world, every one made by the same Maker.
Sabh tayree jot jotee vich varteh: Your light shines inside every light. This picture comes back again and again in this Vaar. The distance we feel between ourselves and the One is smaller than it seems. Raam is one of the names for the One here, sung out together by everyone.
How many different colors and shapes can you find that all came from the same source?
