In plain words

Shelter at the feet of the Lord brings salvation and wellbeing.

The Naam of the One makes pure those who have done wrong.

The shelter of the One lifts up even those who have fallen; no one is left out.
The deeper layer

Shelter with the One brings wellbeing, and the Naam makes pure those who have fallen.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. It is also the last shabad of this set. Har charan saran: the shelter of the One's feet. Resting at someone's feet is a picture of humble trust. Kali-aan karan means it brings wellbeing. Kali-aan is also the name of this raag, heard here once more.

Parabh naam patit paavno: the Name makes the fallen pure. Patit means someone who has slipped and fallen. The Name lifts them up and makes them whole again. It is about healing, not blame. Think of a coach who helps up a player who tripped. The shelter is open to everyone.

A Question to Sit With

Who do you know that offers a fresh start to anyone?
