The Lord preserves the honor of His humble devotees; O servant Nanak, the Lord Himself showers them with His Grace. ||2||1||7||

In plain words

Those who come for shelter at the feet of the Lord of the World cross over the frightening ocean of the world.

The One keeps the honor of the One's devotees. Nanak says: the One showers them with kindness, all on the One's own.

Come and rest, and you will be carried the rest of the way.
The deeper layer

Come for shelter to the One, and you are carried across the hardest waters.

Charan saran: shelter at the feet. Bhav niDh paar: across the world-ocean. Paij raakhai: the One keeps the honor of its people. Aap har kirpaa karay: the One gives kindness of its own accord, never earned. Think of a lifeguard who swims out the moment someone calls. Refuge and kindness freely given are the constant Kalyaan note.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you go when you just need to rest and be kept safe?
