In the Society of the Saints, the Lord's Feet are the boat to carry us across. ||1||

In plain words

Life can feel like a huge, deep ocean, and sometimes I feel very small in it.

Be kind — lift me up and set me safely on the shore.

Among good and loving people, holding onto You, it is as if I have climbed into a sturdy boat that carries me gently across.

In good company, holding to the One, even a wide ocean becomes a boat ride across.
The deeper layer

Adhik garat sansaar saagar — the world-ocean, vast and deep. The prayer chaarahu dhor asks to be lifted onto the shore. The rescuing image is sant sang har charan bohith — in the company of the good, the One's feet are a boat that ferries us across. Kaydaaraa returns often to this gentle picture of being carried rather than struggling alone.

A Question to Sit With

When something feels too big to face alone, who or what helps carry you across?
