With your tongue, say the Name — Raam, Raam — let it become your song.
Sing His praises morning and night, and watch your old mistakes wash away like dust in the rain.
Remember that all the things you gather stay behind when it is time to move on. Our days here are precious, and they do not last forever — so it is wise to know what truly matters.
Clinging tight to passing things, and chasing hopes that lead nowhere, can leave you empty. It is better to hold what is real.
The rahau sets the practice: rasnaa raam raam bakhaan — with the tongue, chant the Name, day and night, and kalmal haan, old wrongs wash away (a fresh start, not a threat). The verse holds up sach against jhooth: gathered riches stay behind, and the reminder kaal sir par — that our time is finite — is rendered gently as our days being precious, without any figure of terror. Mithan moh, clinging to what passes, is contrasted with holding what is real.
What is one thing in your life that feels truly real and lasting to you?
