Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When I meditate quietly on the One deep inside me, I begin to sense that same One living in every heart.

Resting in that endless, shining presence, the old fear of death loosens its hold, and I am no longer afraid.

Sensing the One in every heart quietly dissolves our deepest fears.
The deeper layer

Charan kamal (lotus feet) is the divine presence one gently focuses on within. The source promises freedom from “the Messenger of Death”; for children this frightening figure is set aside and the real gift kept — the dissolving of the fear of death itself, once the heart rests in the Infinite. Ghat ghat: the One is in each and every heart.

A Question to Sit With

What is a fear that feels smaller when you remember you are part of something vast?
