Hearing the Name, I Come Alive

Hearing His Name, one comes to life.

Pain is dispelled; peace and tranquility come to dwell within.

The Lord, Har, Har, is all treasure.

The silent sages serve Him. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Just hearing the Name, I come alive.

Pain lifts, and calm comes to live inside. The One holds every treasure, and the quiet, wise ones spend their lives near it.

Really listening for the One can bring you back to life.
The deeper layer

Suniai — deep listening — brings one jeevai (to life); dukh lifts, sukh settles. The One is sabh nidhaan (all treasure), served by muni (silent sages). Listening, in this project's lens, is receiving rather than filtering — and it revives.

A Question to Sit With

When has simply listening — deeply — made you feel alive again?
