Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One who holds the world lives right here in my body and mind.

Friend of the gentle, lover of those who love, kind forever and ever.

The One who holds the world lives right inside you — gentle and kind.
The deeper layer

The rahao of the last M5 shabad: the gopaal (world-sustainer) bas rahay — dwells — in one's own man tan. The One is deen baandhav (friend of the gentle/humble) and bhagat vachhal (lover of devotees). Nearness and tenderness, the raag's twin notes, together.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you feel the presence of something loving, closest to you?
