My heart-lotus has blossomed forth, and I have found the Guru. Meditating on the Lord, my doubts and fears have run away. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

My mind has fallen in love with the sweet juice of the Name.

My heart opened like a flower when I found the teacher, and remembering the One, my doubts and fears simply ran off.

When the heart opens like a flower, doubts and fears lose their hold.
The deeper layer

Ras again — the Name as a juice the mind grows bishekh (addicted, devoted) to. Hirdai kamal pargaasiaa — the heart-lotus blossoms. Doubt (bharam) and fear "run away." The blossoming-lotus image runs through the whole shabad.

A Question to Sit With

What makes your heart feel like it's opening up wide?
