Meeting with the Blessed Guru, one is dyed in the color of the Lord's Love, imbued with this deep crimson color.

Servant Nanak washes the feet of that humble being, who is attached to the feet of the Lord. ||4||4||

In plain words

Meeting the true teacher, you're dyed a deep crimson in the color of love.

Servant Nanak would gladly wash the feet of anyone whose heart is set on the One.

Love dyes you a deep, glad crimson — and makes you want to honor it in others.
The deeper layer

Laal — deep red — is the color of full-hearted love. The closing gesture, washing the feet of another devotee, is glad service and respect: honoring the One inside another person. Humility here is warmth toward others, not lowering oneself.

A Question to Sit With

How do you show honor to someone whose heart is in the right place?
