Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When the quiet hours before dawn come, some hearts wake and turn softly toward the Name.

For them a welcome is made ready, like bright tents and canopies set up for honored guests coming home.

You send out the call, and those who hold Your Name in their thoughts hear it and come.

The One is not waiting to test you; the One is waiting to welcome you.
The deeper layer

The image is of a royal camp prepared for arriving guests: the soul is expected, wanted, welcomed. The call in the last hours of the night is the amrit vela, the quiet hours before dawn when the mind is still enough to listen. Homecoming, not judgment, is the promise.

A Question to Sit With

What helps your mind grow quiet and still?
