O Nanak, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the true profit is obtained; in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, the fruit of Truth is obtained. ||15||2||19||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Letting go of the feeling of being separate, the heart finds the peace of the Word.
The wise one is simply the one who looks honestly within.
Nanak says: singing the One's praises brings true profit, and in the Sangat, the fruit of Truth ripens.
The best profit of a life is learning to look honestly within.
Ha-umai dissolves into the peace of the Word, and wisdom becomes honest self-examination.
The true profit (laahaa) is the fruit of Truth (sach fal), and it ripens in the satsangat: the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One.
