Receiving the Guru's Teachings, and lovingly attuned to the Lord, one crosses over.

Singing the Praises of the absolute Lord, why should anyone be afraid of death?

Wherever I look, I see only You; I do not sing of any other at all. ||3||

Taking the Guru's wisdom to heart and resting my love on the One, I cross.
Singing the praise of the One, why would I ever be afraid of death?
Wherever I look, I see only You; I sing of no one else at all.
When the One is everywhere you look, even death loses its fear.
For a heart singing the praise of the deathless One (akal), death loses its terror. The closing line, wherever I look I see only You, grounds that fearlessness in seeing the One everywhere.
