Break the chains of doubt, and remain unattached; you shall find the Lord, and the Lord’s sublime essence, deep within yourself.||1||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Set down wanting-more, flashes of anger, and speaking badly of others.
Let go of greed and grabbing, and become carefree and light.
Break the chains of doubt and walk free; you will find the One, and its sweetness, right inside yourself.
Setting down the heavy load of grabbing and grudges is how you go free.
The inner pulls (craving, anger, harsh speech, greed, clinging) are things to set down, not crimes to be shamed for. Nichindaa is that carefree lightness. Breaking the chains of doubt, a person walks free and finds the One within.
A Question to Sit With
What is one heavy thing you could set down today?
