Verse 10 of 16

Many Seekers, One Formless One

ik siDh saaDhik bahut veechaaree.
Some are Siddhas and seekers, and great contemplators.
ik ahinis naam ratay nirankaaree.
Some remain imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Formless Lord, day and night.
jis no aap milaa-ay so boojhai bhagat bhaa-ay bha-o jaa-ee hay. ||10||
He alone understands, whom the Lord unites with Himself; through loving devotional worship, fear is dispelled. ||10||

In plain words

Some are great masters and seekers, deep in thought.

Some stay soaked, day and night, in the Name of the One-without-form.

And the One draws close to whom it will; in that nearness, fear melts away.

There are many kinds of seekers; the Formless One meets each with love.
The deeper layer

Seekers of every kind are named with respect. Nirankar is the One without form. Nearness to that One, given by grace, is what melts fear.

A Question to Sit With

What are the different ways people you know look for what is true?
