Maaroo, Third Mehl:
ਜੋ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਜਾਸੀ ॥
jo aa-i-aa so sabh ko jaasee.
All who come shall have to depart.

doojai bhaa-ay baaDhaa jam faasee.
In the love of duality, they are caught by the noose of the Messenger of Death.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਉਬਰੇ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
satgur raakhay say jan ubray saachay saach samaa-ee hay. ||1||
Those humble beings who are protected by the True Guru, are saved. They merge into the Truest of the True. ||1||

In plain words

Everyone who comes into this world will one day journey onward; that is simply the shape of things.

A heart lost in seeing-two can find that thought frightening.

But those the Guru shelters are carried safely, and gently gathered home into the Truest of the true.

Every arrival has a journey onward, and a safe way home is always held for us.
The deeper layer

Everyone who arrives journeys on. For the heart the Guru shelters, that journey is a safe homecoming into the Truest of the true.

A Question to Sit With

What makes a journey feel safe instead of scary?
