ਅਉਗਣਿਆਰੀ ਕੰਤ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
a-ugani-aaree kant na bhaavai.
The unworthy soul-bride is not pleasing to her Husband Lord.
ਮਨ ਕੀ ਜੂਠੀ ਜੂਠੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
man kee joothee jooth kamaavai.
False-minded, her actions are false.
ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਸਾਉ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਮੂਰਖਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਈ ਹੇ ॥੬॥
pir kaa saa-o na jaanai moorakh bin gur boojh na paa-ee hay. ||6||
The foolish person does not know the excellence of her Husband Lord. Without the Guru, she does not understand at all. ||6||

A soul that turns away forgets the sweetness it was made for.
When the inside is cloudy, even good-looking days feel hollow.
It simply has not yet learned how wonderful its own Beloved is; without the Guru, it cannot understand.
The soul that forgets its Beloved can always be reminded.
The soul and its Beloved, the One: any soul that has forgotten can be reminded.
