Maaroo, Third Mehl:
ਏਕੋ ਸੇਵੀ ਸਦਾ ਥਿਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ॥
ayko sayvee sadaa thir saachaa.
I serve the One Lord, who is eternal, stable and True.
ਦੂਜੈ ਲਾਗਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਕਾਚਾ ॥
doojai laagaa sabh jag kaachaa.
Attached to duality, the whole world is false.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਾਚੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਚਿ ਪਤੀਜੈ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
gurmatee sadaa sach saalaahee saachay hee saach pateejai hay. ||1||
Following the Guru's Teachings, I praise the True Lord forever, pleased with the Truest of the True. ||1||

I give myself to the One that is steady, lasting, and real.
So much of what we chase is like a passing shimmer, here then gone.
Following the Guru's teaching, I praise the True One always, glad in the Truest of the true.
Give your heart to the thing that stays, not the shimmer that fades.
Sach (Truth, what lasts) is set against kaachaa (the false, the passing shimmer). The heart gives itself to what stays.
