Sikhism·Raag Maaroo·Shabad 111
Verse 12 of 16

You Are Everywhere I Turn

jah daykhaa too sabhnee thaa-ee.
Wherever I look, I see You, everywhere.
poorai gur sabh sojhee paa-ee.
Through the Perfect Guru, all this is known.
naamo naam Dhi-aa-ee-ai sadaa sad ih man naamay raataa hay. ||12||
I meditate forever and ever on the Naam; this mind is imbued with the Naam. ||12||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Wherever I look, You are already there, in every place.

The perfect Guru showed me this.

So I keep the Name close always, until my whole mind is colored by it.

The One is everywhere you turn your attention.
The deeper layer

Jah daykhaa too sabhnee thaa-ee — You in all places. The realization is credited to the poorai gur, the perfect Guru. The response is naamo naam dhi-aa-ee-ai — steady loving attention on the Name until the mind is naamay raataa, dyed in it.

A Question to Sit With

Where did you notice something beautiful today that you might have walked past?
