mayraa parabh nirmal at apaaraa.
My God is immaculate, and utterly infinite.
aapay maylai gur sabad veechaaraa.
God unites with Himself, through contemplation of the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
aapay bakhsay sach drirh-aa-ay man tan saachai raataa hay. ||11||
He Himself forgives, and implants the Truth. The mind and body are then attuned to the True Lord. ||11||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
My One is spotless and endless.
It gathers me to itself when I sit with the Guru's Word.
It forgives, it plants what is true inside me, and my mind and body take on that truth.
Being forgiven and being made new arrive together.
Aapay bakhsay sach drirh-aa-ay — the One forgives and firmly plants sach, truth, within. Forgiveness and transformation come together: being made new is not earned by penance but received, then it takes root in man tan.
A Question to Sit With
What would you like to plant fresh inside yourself?
