ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
maa-i-aa mohi sabh jagat upaa-i-aa.
Emotional attachment to Maya wells up throughout the whole world,
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਦੇਵ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥
barahmaa bisan dayv sabaa-i-aa.
from Brahma, Vishnu and all the demi-gods.
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਣੇ ਸੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਮਤੀ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੫॥
jo tuDh bhaanay say naam laagay gi-aan matee pachhaataa hay. ||5||
Those who are pleasing to Your Will, are attached to the Naam; through spiritual wisdom and understanding, You are recognized. ||5||

Those whose hearts turn to the One hold the Naam close.
Through understanding, they come to recognize the Oneness in all.

Maa-i-aa mohi sabh jagat upaa-i-aa... barahmaa bisan dayv — even Brahma, Vishnu and the devas are woven into the play of attachment. No one stands outside that pull, and all of it sits within one vast Oneness, recognized through gi-aan matee, understanding.
