ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਏ ॥
satgur pooraa sabad sunaa-ay.
The Perfect True Guru proclaims the Shabad;
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਏ ॥
an-din bhagat karahu liv laa-ay.
night and day, remain lovingly attuned to devotional worship.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਣ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੫॥
har gun gaavahi sad hee nirmal nirmal gun paatisaahaa hay. ||15||
One who sings forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord, becomes immaculate; Immaculate are the Glorious Praises of the Sovereign Lord . ||15||

The perfect Guru speaks the Word aloud.
Day and night, stay lovingly turned toward it.
The one who sings its praise forever grows spotless, bright with the beauty of the Great One.
Staying lovingly attuned, day and night, makes a heart bright.
An-din bhagat karahu liv laa-ay — keep devotion with a loving, steady attention (liv). Paatisaahaa, the Sovereign, is the Great One whose praises are spotless. Singing makes a person nirmal, immaculate.
