Sikhism·Raag Maaroo·Shabad 117
Verse 15 of 16

The Great Giver Gives on His Own

aapay dayvai dayvanhaaraa.
The Great Giver Himself gives.
tis aagai nahee kisai kaa chaaraa.
No one has any power to stand against Him.
aapay bakhsay sabad milaa-ay tis daa sabad athaahaa hay. ||15||
He Himself forgives, and unites us with the Shabad; The Word of His Shabad is unfathomable. ||15||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Great Giver keeps giving, and nothing can block that generosity.

Forgiving freely, the One gathers us into the Word, a Word so deep it can never be fully measured.

The Great Giver keeps giving, and nothing can stop it.
The deeper layer

The Giver keeps giving. Forgiveness and union follow, and the Word remains unfathomable.

A Question to Sit With

What is the most generous thing someone has ever done for you?
