Immersed in the Song

ਏਹ ਕਾਇਆ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰੁ ॥
ayh kaa-i-aa pavit hai sareer.
This body is sanctified and purified;
ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਚੇਤੈ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰੁ ॥
gur sabdee chaytai gunee gaheer.
through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, it contemplates the Lord, the ocean of virtue.
an-din gun gaavai rang raataa gun kahi gunee samaa-idaa. ||11||
One who chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord night and day, and remains attuned to His Love, chants His Glorious Virtues, immersed in the Glorious Lord. ||11||

In plain words

This body is made clean and pure. Through the Guru's Word it holds the One — that ocean of goodness — in mind.

Singing the praises night and day, staying close in love, such a one is soaked right through with the glory of the One.

Sing long enough and steadily enough, and the song soaks all the way through you.
The deeper layer

Singing the One's praises day and night soaks a person through with the One.

Ayh kaa-i-aa pavit hai sareer: this body becomes pavit, pure and holy. Through the Guru's Word, it keeps in mind the One, gunee gaheer, the deep ocean of goodness.

An-din gun gaavai rang raataa: singing praises day and night, colored in love. Then gunee samaa-idaa: the singer melts into the One. Think of a white T-shirt dipped in dye. Leave it long enough and the color goes all the way through. No white is left.

That is the picture: a self colored through and through by the One.
