The One is the giver of peace. Through the perfect Guru's Word, the One becomes known to me.
Nanak says: I praise the True Naam, and when the moment ripens, the One is found.
The True One is the Giver of peace, found through the Guru's Word.
Aapay sachaa hai sukh-daataa: the True One Himself is sukh-daataa, the Giver of peace. Pooray gur kai sabad pachhaataa: through the perfect Guru's Word, the One is known.
Naanak naam salaahay saachaa: Nanak praises the True Name. Poorai bhaag ko paa-idaa: with full good fortune, someone finds the One.
That good fortune is grace ripening in its own time. Think of fruit on a tree. You cannot pull it ripe. When it is ready, it drops easily into your hand.
