Maaroo, Third Mehl:
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥
agam agochar vayparvaahay.
He is inaccessible, unfathomable and self-sustaining.
ਆਪੇ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਅਗਮ ਅਥਾਹੇ ॥
aapay miharvaan agam athaahay.
He Himself is merciful, inaccessible and unlimited.
ਅਪੜਿ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕੈ ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਮੇਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
aparh ko-ay na sakai tis no gur sabdee maylaa-i-aa. ||1||
No one can reach up to Him; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, He is met. ||1||

The One is beyond reach, too deep to measure, needing nothing from anyone. The One is kind, endless, always more than we can hold.
No one can climb all the way up alone — yet through the Guru's Word, we are met, right where we are.
You cannot climb up to the One, but the One meets you where you are.
The One is agam (unreachable), athaahay (unfathomable), and above all merciful. No one can climb that distance alone; through the Guru's Word, the One meets us where we stand.
