He can never snap the noose of Death, and in the end, he suffers in horrible pain. ||4||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The self-willed person, blind inside, acts blindly. They fall into deep trouble and keep wandering from birth to birth.
They can never cut the rope of death, and in the end they suffer great pain.
Walking with your eyes shut to the Guru keeps you circling in trouble.
The manmukh, the self-willed one, walks with eyes shut. Acting blindly brings trouble, and the wandering keeps circling from birth to birth. The noose of death stays tied, and the end is full of pain. A plain picture of what happens when the Guru's light is left out.
A Question to Sit With
When have you acted without looking, and where did it lead you?
