Without the True Guru, no one understands; focus your consciousness on the Guru's Feet. ||7||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Those whose lives the Maker wrote this way from the start spend their nights and days calling "Guru, Guru."
Without the True Guru, no one understands. Keep your heart fixed on the Guru's feet.
Understanding grows when your heart stays fixed on the Guru.
Dhur likh paa-ee — written from the very beginning — names the Maker's blessing on a life given to the Guru. An-din means night and day — continual, glad remembrance that fills the hours. Understanding is framed as something that grows from where you keep your attention.
