The Only Giver

maaroo mehlaa 4.
Maaroo, Fourth Mehl:
har agam agochar sadaa abhinaasee.
The Lord is inaccessible and unfathomable; He is eternal and imperishable.
sarbay rav rahi-aa ghat vaasee.
He dwells in the heart, and is all-pervading, permeating everywhere.
tis bin avar na ko-ee daataa har tiseh sarayvhu paraanee hay. ||1||
There is no other Giver except Him; worship the Lord, O mortals. ||1||

In plain words

The One is too vast to fully reach or picture — and never fades, never leaves.

That same One lives in every heart and fills all of space. There is no other Giver. So serve the One, all you people.

The One you cannot fully picture is the same One living in every heart.
The deeper layer

agam and agochar mean inaccessible and unfathomable; abhinaasee means imperishable. The One is at once beyond grasp and utterly near — dwelling in the heart (ghat vaasee) and filling all space. And it is the only daataa, the one Giver.

A Question to Sit With

How can something be both too big to imagine and close enough to live inside you?
