Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
After knocking at so many doors, I have finally come to Yours.
By Your kindness, I have come into Your shelter.
Keep me always in the Sangat, and give me the gift of Your Naam.
After all the wandering, grace brings you home to the Sangat.
After wandering at many doors, one arrives at the One's — and it is by kirpaa, grace, that the sanctuary opens. The prayer is to be kept always in the Sangat, blessed with the gift of the Name.
Santeh sang is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One. Grace opens the door, and the Sangat keeps you close.
A Question to Sit With
What good place did you land in more by grace than by your own planning?
